Zombieland Pilot Is A Go!

Posted on March 25, 2013 at 2:11 pm by Jess Hicks

Amazon studios has announced they are green-lighting the pilot episode of Zombieland, which will be the seventh comedy added to their pilot line up. When finished the pilot episode will be free to those with Amazon Prime (if you don’t have one you are seriously missing out) and LOVEFiLM UK accounts to watch. Viewers will be encouraged to provide reviews for the pilot in order for Amazon Studios to decide to go on with a full season or not.

Zombieland is definitely one of the best zombie films to have come out over the past 5 years. It ranks up there with Shaun of the Dead as one of the best horror comedies of our time. I am really looking forward to this and I hope enough people will participate in getting it off the ground. It’s quite strange how business is starting to actually leave it up to the fans as to whether or not a project gets off the ground (Veronica Mars kick-starter anyone?).

With the popularity of both zombies and streaming entertainment right now I have no doubts that this will be successful. Now hopefully it will be as good as its film version. What do you guys think, are zombies too played out? Should Amazon leave it up to the viewers to make decisions for them? Leave a comment below!
