Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle

Earlier today Microsoft announced an Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle to arrive in stores later this month. The $350 bundle includes a Kinectless Xbox One console, wireless controller, headset, 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial, and a voucher to download Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Keep in mind before any updates, the original install was 75GB so don’t call out sick from work just yet. Let your console do some heavy lifting before you even think about clocking in some actual game time.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a four game bundle complete with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4. Those of you that picked up the game last November have likely wanted to put your fist through your television whilst attempting to play the MCC with your friends. The game has been plagued by glitches, match-making queues, party stability issues, and the list goes on. Supposedly, 343 Industries have been working around the clock to get this debacle handled as quickly as possible, but aside from a few patches here and there, it wasn’t until last week when the game finally saw some major improvements to online play.

It’s worth mentioning that 343 Industries did take a moment to apologize to Halo fans and offered some pretty sweet goodies to anyone that played the game from its November launch through December 19 with 1 month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game nameplate, and an exclusive in-game avatar. Finally, to extend the olive branch even further, 343 Industries also promised an upgraded port of Halo 3: ODST to anyone that played during this window.
