Xbox One April Update

Xbox Live’s Major Nelson shares the deets for the Xbox One April update, fine tuning¬†Party Chat, Achievement Notifications, game hubs, and more. The Party Chat improvements and Achievement Notifications will go along way in a file that’s roughly only 256MB.

The Party Chat app now features notifications when there is an issue with connectivity and how players can fix it. Examples include your mic not being plugged in or the Kinect voice chat being disabled. Pressing the A button will take you to the Settings menu, allowing you to fix the problem.

Achievement notifications have added descriptions into the mix, which allows you to keep playing your game without having to exit to the Achievement page to discover why you received said achievement in the first place. Now when a player manages to get an achievement you will see the name of the achievement, it’s point value, and description. Bravo!
