Wii U Midnight Launch at Nintendo World

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 10:46 am by Justin Cavender

Interested in scoring a Wii U on November 18, but didn’t bother to pre-oreder one? Well head on over to Nintendo World located in New York’s Rockefeller Plaza for your chance to pick one up. Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime will be there, and he will sell a Wii U to the first customer in line. Maybe do something fun like pay with bags of coins. I’m sure the all the people in line behind you will appreciate it. Fans waiting in line will also receive premium items (supplies are limited). All Wii U consoles will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nintendo will also be selling New York-themed Mario shirts at the launch event to benefit the American Red Cross.

The festivities begin on November 17, 2012 at 6PM. Better get there early if you plan on walking away with a console. If you live in the area it might be fun to hang out with other Nintendo fans. Maybe pick up a shirt or two and talk about what games you’re going to buy first. Keep it friendly, keep it safe, and enjoy your shiny Wii U.
