Welcome to Tyler’s Comic Corner, where I highlight the majority of this week’s new comic releases. My highlights include mainstream and indie titles, ensuring your pull list won’t be deprived of one of this week’s gems. My apologies if your favorite isn’t listed, but good news; you clearly already knew it was coming!

Whether you’re jumping through time with Superior, dealing with the return of Peter in Ultimate, or hanging out with Spider-Gwen in Edge of Spider-Verse, you’re sure to get your wall-crawling fix. Perhaps mutants are more your thing? There’s plenty of that going around too, with both All-New X-titles on shelves, as well as the next chapter of The Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier over in Uncanny X-Men #26. Finally, Hulk fans get a healthy serving of green this week as well, with new issues of the current ongoing, Savage Hulk and a Hulk annual. Throw in Thor God of Thunder and this week from Marvel is looking pretty great!

We also get an extensive look at Wonder Woman’s role in all this with both her monthly series and Superman Wonder Woman both joining the Futures End party. Justice League also gets involved this week, and the Lanterns are represented as New Guardians heads for the future as well. Not a fan of Futures End? There’s Batman Eternal and Sensation Comics set firmly in present day for you! And finally, the latest Grant Morrison epic Multiversity continues this week with a standalone title that also serves as chapter two of the entire storyline, so don’t miss it!

on1covImage Releases

Artifacts #39
Clone #20
Dead@17 The Blasphemy Throne #2 (Of 7)
Deadly Class #7
Field #4 (Of 4)
Great Pacific #17
Manifest Destiny #10
Oddly Normal #1
One-Hit Wonder #4 (Of 5)
Red City #4
Rise Of The Magi #4
Satellite Sam #10
Savage Dragon #198
Shutter #6
Stray Bullets Killers #7
Supreme Blue Rose #3
Trees #5
Wicked + The Divine #4

Perfect Pulls: Image’s newest title looks to break away from the standard “rated M for mature” fare we’re used to, and swings us towards something that looks to be fun for everyone. Oddly Normal is about a ten-year-old girl who just may be half-witch, and it turns out having a witch mom and human dad doesn’t make for an easy life. However, when she makes a wish on her tenth birthday that sends her parents away, it’s up to her to save them, which will no doubt be an outstanding adventure. It’s Image, so you may want to scout the book out first, but it looks like this is one you can read with the little ones too. Looking for Image books that most certainly aren’t for the little ones? Don’t fear, there’s still plenty of Manifest Destiny, Trees, Deadly Class and Wicked + the Divine goodness (badness?) for your rated M needs!

Perfect Pulls: As always, there’s lots of great new stuff from the indies, but one in particular rises to the top. Sirens is the latest from BOOM! and also happens to be the newest book from comic legend George Perez. Featuring a brand-new team of powerful women created by Perez, this six-issue miniseries tries to bring together the most powerful team in the galaxy… except the Sirens don’t remember that they’re Sirens, and the rest of the galaxy remembers the Sirens as terrible villains. How did this happen? We’ll have to find out! Along with that comes Purgatori from Dynamite, spinning out of their Chaos! event to become another book Vampirella fans won’t want to miss. And finally, Dark Horse introduces the latest chapter in their Criminal Macabre series with The Third Child, also written by Steve Niles.

Those are the highlights for Wednesday, September 17th. Anything you simply can’t live without, or simply can’t imagine reading? Share it in the comments!
