My highlights include mainstream and indie titles, ensuring your pull list won’t be deprived of one of this week’s gems. My apologies if your favorite isn’t listed, but good news; you clearly already knew it was coming!

Either way, you’re covered this week, as Death of Wolverine continues to roll on towards the, um, death of Wolverine. At the same time, Edge of Spider-Verse #1 kicks off the latest Spider-event with the return of Spider-Man Noir, and begins to pull together every Spider-Man ever for one big blockbuster. Perfect PullsFuture’s End continues to roll across all the DC books this week, and a quick glimpse makes it clear that some of the most interesting tie-ins hit shelves this week. Of course, the top of the list is Batman Futures End #1, with vague hints at a look of a future Batman who goes too far to make sure the legacy of the Bat doesn’t die. Along with that comes the fascinating Batgirl Futures End #1, which has everyone wondering what happens in five years that turns Batgirl into Bête Noire, the Black Beast! And Green Lantern Corps Futures End #1 brings us to another crossroads where John Stewart has to choose between redemption and saving the Corps, and we all know how those usually go. But if Futures End just isn’t your thing, you can take solace in knowing that you still have Batman Eternal and Superman Unchained to look forward to as well. Everybody wins!

Walking Dead #131

Perfect Pulls: Image has all different forms of new for you this week. If you want something brand new, don’t miss Copperhead, a “24th century western” involving a backwater planet, a new sheriff, an angry deputy and a small-town massacre. From the sounds of it, if you like scifi, westerns, or both, you should be buying this book. If you’re looking for a new addition to a series, check out 68 Homefront, which brings the zombies-and-war tale back home, with brain-loving side effects. But perhaps most exciting is Prophet Strikefile, a new summary of a familiar franchise. Prophet is a series I was always intrigued by but always put off by the learning curve. If you’re like me, this looks to be a perfect way to get familiar with the world without a huge investment in books, and is definitely worth a look!

Perfect Pulls: As always, the indies come to Wednesday filled with new titles that run the gamut of genres. BOOM! Dark Horse flexes its TV and movie adaptation muscle with Prometheus: Fire and Stone, which ties directly to the hit film, as well as the Whedon Three-Way, which collects the first issue of Dark Horse’s current Buffy, Angel and Firefly books for those who love the shows but haven’t read the comics. If you love over-sexualized bad girls, your dreams have come true with Dynamite’s pairing of the two most popular ladies in Dawn Vampirella #1. And finally, if you’re a fan of the Rot and Ruin series of novels, IDW brings a new comic series that continues the story, written by series author Jonathan Maberry himself.

Those are the highlights for Wednesday, September 10th. Anything you simply can’t live without, or simply can’t imagine reading? Share it in the comments!
