Posted on May 11, 2016 at 7:20 am by Tyler Waterman

Welcome to Tyler’s Comic Corner, where I highlight the majority of this week’s new comic releases. My highlights include mainstream and indie titles, ensuring your pull list won’t be deprived of one of this week’s gems. My apologies if your favorite isn’t listed, but good news; you clearly already knew it was coming!

Perfect Pulls: I’m very excited to dive into the latest issue of Black Panther today, and not just because I’m riding the high of his killer debut in Captain America: Civil War. The first issue was really good, but also featured a steep learning curve for folks who may not have been keeping tabs on the character until now. I’m hoping the new issue has the hook that’s going to keep the casual fan coming back for more. Speaking of things to look forward to, there’s also a new All-New, All-Different Avengers, Darth Vader, and Ultimates on shelves today too!

Perfect Pulls: It’s the first issue of Batman in a post-Capullo world! If there’s any artist that will help soften the blow, it’s Rafael Albuquerque, so there’s still something to look forward to. Also this week, don’t miss out on new issues of Edge of Oblivion, Action Comics, and the final issue of the super-cool Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
