Posted on March 9, 2016 at 12:15 pm by Tyler Waterman

Welcome to Tyler’s Comic Corner, where I highlight the majority of this week’s new comic releases. My highlights include mainstream and indie titles, ensuring your pull list won’t be deprived of one of this week’s gems. My apologies if your favorite isn’t listed, but good news; you clearly already knew it was coming!

Perfect Pulls: Alas, poor Black Knight, we hardly knew ye… before you were cancelled. Today marks the final issue, and while I can’t say I’m surprised, I can say I’ll be sad to see it go. However, on a week loaded with good stuff like a new Mighty Thor, Amazing Spider-Man, All-New Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man 2099, Vision… well, I think it’s clear I won’t be lacking for books going forward!wa

Perfect Pulls: Hot dang do I love the cover to Detective Comics #50! As Rebirth looms and the DC Universe prepares to change again, it does make me think about some of the stuff I’m going to miss, and Bat-Gordon is definitely one of them. While a polarizing choice, I thought it was one of the coolest moves I’ve seen in a while. I’m also looking forward to a new issue of Edge of Oblivion, which has been just as excellent as the main GL title right now. And did I mention another issue of Batman/TMNT is out as well? You know that’s always good news to me!

des11covImage Releases

Black Jack Ketchum #4 (Of 4)
Codename Baboushka The Conclave Of Death #5
Descender #11
Head Lopper #3
Jupiter’s Circle Volume 2 #4 (Of 6)
Limbo #5 (Of 6)
No Mercy #8
Savage Dragon #212
Shutter #19

Perfect Pulls: As always, I take the week where a new issue of Descender comes out to spend this entire space reminding you that you should be reading this book. Not only is the art fantastic, but the story is still just as fresh as the first few issues, something that admittedly isn’t terribly prevalent among Image books. As always, if you’re not reading this book, rectify that immediately!
