Posted on December 30, 2015 at 4:52 am by Tyler Waterman

Welcome to Tyler’s Comic Corner, where I highlight the majority of this week’s new comic releases. My highlights include mainstream and indie titles, ensuring your pull list won’t be deprived of one of this week’s gems. My apologies if your favorite isn’t listed, but good news; you clearly already knew it was coming!

chewie5covMarvel Releases

All-New Wolverine #3
Amazing Spider-Man #6
Astonishing Ant-Man #3
Captain America White #5 (Of 5)
Carnage #3
Chewbacca #5 (Of 5)
Deadpool And Cable Split Second #1 (Of 3)
Drax #2

Marvel’s Captain America Civil War Prelude #2 (Of 4)
Nova #3
Rocket Raccoon And Groot #1
Spider-Man 2099 #5
Spidey #2
Squadron Supreme #2

Perfect Pulls: I have to admit, when I saw the announcment for Chewbacca, I tempered my optimism. Chewie is one of my favorite characters, but writing a series for a character that essentially doesn’t speak is tough. However, Gerry Duggan makes it look easy, and the book has been a blast; it’s bittersweet getting the last issue today. I’m also thrilled to see the second issue of Squadron Supreme so soon, the first issue definitely left me with some urgent questions!

be3covDC Releases

Batman And Robin Eternal #13
Batman Europa #3 (Of 4)
Black Canary #6
Doctor Fate #7
Flash #47
Harley Quinn And Power Girl #6 (Of 6)
Injustice Gods Among Us Year Four Annual #1
Justice League #47
Omega Men #7
Superman Annual #3
Superman Lois And Clark #3
Superman Wonder Woman #24
Superman Wonder Woman Annual #2
Wonder Woman #47

Perfect Pulls: Speaking of comics I’m thrilled to see so quickly, this week has another issue of the epic Batman Europa. Considering how long we had to wait for this myth to come true, the rapid-fire release is greatly appreciated! There’s also a fistful of great Superman books out today, too. A new issue of the awesome Lois and Clark, an annual for the flagship and a double-dose of Superman Wonder Woman? If there was a new issue of American Alien my head would probably explode!

Black Magick #3
East Of West #23
Lazarus #21
Morning Glories #49
Rat Queens #14
Ringside #2
Rumble #10
Savage Dragon #210
Spawn #259

Perfect Pulls: The next big thing kicks off in Spawn #259, the beginning of the Satan Saga Wars arc, which also features a really kickass cover, too. There’s also a new issue of Rumble, one of my favorite books that I don’t think enough people are talking about. If you like fantasy, grittiness, humor, or just really good comics, you should have this on your pull list.
