Tyler’s Comic Corner – 10/21/15 Edition

Posted on October 21, 2015 at 6:24 am by Tyler Waterman

Welcome to Tyler’s Comic Corner, where I highlight the majority of this week’s new comic releases. My highlights include mainstream and indie titles, ensuring your pull list won’t be deprived of one of this week’s gems. My apologies if your favorite isn’t listed, but good news; you clearly already knew it was coming!

ui1covMarvel Releases

1872 #4
Age Of Apocalypse #5
Amazing Spider-Man #2
Astonishing Ant-Man #1
Darth Vader #11
Invincible Iron Man #2

Karnak #1
S.H.I.E.L.D. #11
Secret Wars Agents Of Atlas #1
Uncanny Inhumans #1
Weirdworld #5
What If Infinity Guardians Of The Galaxy #1

Perfect Pulls: Still riding the high from the amazing new Star Wars trailer this week? Me too! And both of us can help scratch that itch with new issues of the outstanding Shattered Empire and Darth Vader series from Marvel! Inhuman fans also have a lot to be excited about, with the first issue of Uncanny Inhumans (Soule and McNiven, I can’t wait) and Karnak, where Warren Ellis will make you care about an Inhuman you didn’t care about before, just like he made everyone care about Moon Knight a year or so ago. There are even a few Secret Wars tie-ins still kicking about, so don’t forget those too!

DC Releases

Astro City #28
Batman And Robin Eternal #3
Batman Arkham Knight Genesis #3 (Of 6)
Bizarro #5 (Of 6)

Superman Wonder Woman #22
Teen Titans #12
Teen Titans Go #12
Titans Hunt #1 (Of 12)
Wonder Woman #45

Perfect Pulls: If you’re a Titans fan, this is a great day for you. Not only do you have new issues of both the regular Teen Titans monthly, as well as a new Teen Titans Go for the kids (ok, for you, I’m not judging), but you’re also kicking off a brand-new Titans event! Titans Hunt kicks off an event that ties the New 52/DC You world with past iterations, and also features one of the coolest Robin costumes I’ve seen yet. Titan fans won’t want to miss it! Throw in a new chapter of Darkseid War in Justice League and today is a good day to be a fan of DC’s most popular teams.

Image Releases

Beauty #3
Empty Zone #5
Fade Out #10
Invincible #124
Reyn #9
Shutter #16
Tales Of Honor Bred To Kill #3

Perfect Pulls: After a few loaded weeks, Image has been kind enough to take it easy on our wallets this Wednesday. However, with new issues of Tokyo Ghost, Shutter, Invincible and more, they’re still not letting you go without getting something out of you!

Perfect Pulls: Anyone who knows me will tell you there are few things I can’t stand more than steampunk. However, those same people will tell you there are few things I love more than the Wild West or big robots, and that’s why I have to give Steam Man from Dark Horse a shot. A Wild West that’s under siege from aliens and albino apes, where they battle them in essentially giant steam powered Gundams with top hats? Ok, you’ve got me. Also, IDW would like to remind you that the future is now, and what better way that premiering a Back to the Future comic on the very day that Marty went, well, back to the future? How convenient that 10/21/15 was a Wednesday!

Those are the highlights for Wednesday, October 21st. Anything you simply can’t live without, or simply can’t imagine reading? Share it in the comments!
