Twitch Crossing the Streams to PS4

Posted on August 20, 2013 at 10:29 pm by Justin Cavender

Today during Sony’s Gamescom press conference, Twitch announced their streaming service is coming to the PlayStation 4 this fall. Streaming will be easy, simply press the “Share” button on the DualShock 4 controller and players may broadcast their gameplay directly to their Twitch channels.

The PS4 will also feature a viewing app allowing users to sit back and enjoy being a spectator. Thus creating a complete Twitch experience on the PlayStation 4.

“PlayStation has a long history of delivering some of the best gaming experiences in the industry and we’re excited to have Twitch available on a console as heavily anticipated as PS4,” said Emmett Shear, Twitch CEO. “Through this partnership we are paving the way for every PS4 gamer to become both a broadcaster and an avid spectator of amazing content.”

It wasn’t too long ago during E3 we learned Microsoft’s Xbox One would feature Twitch integration. Thankfully, the streaming service is branching out to multiple platforms, reaching as many gamers as possible.
