Trailer and Poster for PROJECT ALMANAC; A Found Footage Time Travel Film

Paramount Pictures has released a new Project Almanac trailer and poster for director Dean Israelite’s upcoming time travel film.  Formerly titled Welcome to Yesterday, the story revolves around a group of teens who construct a working time machine and are faced with unexpected complications.  I am intrigued by the concept, but am growing tired of the teen found footage concept. Teens have crappy lives, something extraordinary happens, teens turn their fortunes around at the expense of those who troubled them, one member goes too far, and all hell breaks loose before someone has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

The film stars Jonny Weston, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Amy Landecker, and Virginia Gardner.  Project Almanac opens in theaters on January 30, 2015.

Here’s the official synopsis for Project Almanac:

A brilliant high school student and his friends uncover blueprints for a mysterious device with limitless potential, inadvertently putting lives in danger.
