So many great classics have already been made available for download. However, there are still many more that we need. From arcade classics to console gems, here are my top 10 games that we need brought back.

cruise

10. CRUISIN’ SERIES (U.S.A., WORLD, EXOTICA)

Remember when this game came out? I sure do. This certainly wasn’t the best racing game on the market, but it was pretty darn cool. This was the first game I got on the N64 and I have many fond memories racing my friends. Give this game full online support and we can go cruisin’ worldwide.

avengers

9. CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE AVENGERS

Well, it was more like Captain America with Hawkeye, Iron Man, and the Vision, but it was still pretty sweet. We already got the X-men arcade game now give us some Avengers. Much like X-men, it was a pretty repetitive beat-em-up, but it’s all about the nostalgia factor. Avengers Assemble!

diehard

8. DIE HARD ARCADE

With a new Die Hard coming out, it’s only fitting that we bring this classic back. This game felt like a mix of Time Crisis and Final Fight. It was all about action. This game was so fun back in the day and many countless quarters were dropped into this baby.

killer instinct

7. KILLER INSTINCT 1 AND 2

CCCCCCCCOMBO BREAKER! Man, this game was the bee’s knees! With rumors of a possible third installment in our future, what better way to please fans and bring in new ones by bringing back this gem. Insane characters with equally insane combos made this one of the most popular fighting games of all time.

turok

6. TUROK TRILOGY (DINOSAUR HUNTER, SEEDS OF EVIL, SHADOW OF OBLIVION)

This is N64 greatness! These were certainly some of the best shooters on the N64 and had some pretty cool stories as well. Turok rocked some of the coolest weapons in video game history. Anyone remember the Cerebral Bore? I say throw in Rage Wars (the multiplayer only game) while we’re at it.

styrder

5. STRIDER (HD REMAKE)

One of the coolest platformers ever, Strider has maintained his popularity over the years. I would love to have ports of old games, but it would be sweet if they made an HD remake similar to what they did with the Bionic Commando.

avparcade

4. ALIEN VS. PREDATOR

As you can probably tell, I am a huge fan of beat-em-ups. This, however, is one of the best. You could choose to be Predator or a couple space marines. Then, you could take on the alien horde whichever way you choose. This game is beyond awesome. Words can’t explain. This game supported 3 players, but I say allow for all 4 to create the best party game ever!

xmvsf

3. X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER/ MARVEL SUPERHEROES VS. STREET FIGHTER

Yeah, I’m a fighting game fan too and I won’t rest until every classic I played as a kid is released in HD glory. These were the first games in the Vs. Series and we need to pay tribute with a HD port. Bison vs. Magneto? Who wouldn’t want to see that?

superstarwars_(15)

2. SUPER STAR WARS COLLECTION

I can remember playing these games back in the day on my SNES. With all the Star Wars craziness going on right now, it’s time to bring back these classic games.  With a game for each episode (4-6), you could play as different characters and even have a few vehicle-based missions. These games were cool and very nostalgic. The force is with this one for sure.

x collection

1. MEGA MAN X COLLECTION (1-8)

As much of a fan that I am of the original series, Mega Man X is the one that I have fond memories of. You start the game in your normal blue armor and have to collect various parts of your suit as you go through the game. The stages are awesome, the boss battles are spectacular, and you are never without a challenge. A similar collection was released on PS2 and Gamecube, but its debut on current consoles is long overdue.

Well that about does it. Did I miss one of your favorites? Leave your thoughts and comments below.

Stay classy,

The Classic Ulaski

I'd LOVE for them to release a Super Star Wars collection. Please just take my money.
