Thrillbent’s Digital Service Adds Top Shelf’s Motorcycle Samurai

Posted on August 27, 2014 at 7:52 am by Tyler Waterman

Thrillbent, the all-digital comic publisher helmed by the legendary Mark Waid, has quickly made a name for itself by bringing comic fans some of the most original and interesting titles out there for an exceptionally low $3.99/month fee, essentially the cost of one individual comic from the major publishers.

This latest offering from Thrillbent isn’t just exciting because it’s yet another book you get for that charge, however. Motorcycle Samurai also marks the first time the Thrillbent service is offering another publisher’s title, in this case on from Top Shelf Comics.

Another great book for the same price, and a sign that Thrillbent is only getting bigger and better? This is what you definitely call a win/win situation. Check out more info from the official press release below, and get yourself set up with your own Thrillbent account over at Thrillbent.com.

Thrillbent, the one-stop showcase for creator-owned digital comics, has launched Top Shelf’s Motorcycle Samurai on its subscription platform. Originally released in 2013, Chris Sheridan’s first foray into digital comics set new standards for eye-popping artwork and jaw-dropping use of digital platform transitions. The release marks the first time Thrillbent has made another publisher’s work part of its monthly subscription package.

“We have one singular goal at Thrillbent –  to be the home of diverse, quality content that truly maximizes the benefits of the digital platform,” said Thrillbent founder Mark Waid. “Chris Sheridan’s masterpiece certainly fits the bill. We will continue to look to supplement our subscription with books from other publishers that meet our standards.”
Motorcycle Samurai Synopsis
A grueling desert wasteland, a mysterious stranger bound and hooded on the back of a motorcycle, and a tough-as-nails warrior out to deliver her cargo by any means necessary. The book blends elements of Mad Max and Kill Bill with loose-limbed energetic artwork and a jaw-dropping use of digital panel transitions. Strap in and let’s ride!
