Dying Light Story Trailer

Techland released the Dying Light story trailer today to give zombie fans a taste of the hardcore parkour action survival horror game set to launch in North America on January 27, 2015. Players take on the role of Kyle Crane, an undercover agent sent to infiltrate the quarantine zone as our world falls apart around us.

As we’ve seen in previous footage, the open world is a cruel and dangerous place, where players must gather resources to craft weapons to survive the horrors that come out at night. That’s not to say you won’t encounter zombies during the day, but when the sun sets, you’ll have to face off against them in greater numbers and the more powerful predators always come out at night. Good luck with that.

Last week, Techland announced Dying Light will see its first batch of dlc by way of the game’s Season Pass coming in February.

Season Pass Contains:

  • Cuisine & Cargo – Two missions where players investigate buildings that have been sealed off since first days of the outbreak.
  •  Ultimate Survivor Bundle – Players receive seven unique in-game items to spice up your zombie killing experience including three outfits, four different weapon blueprints.
  •  The Bozak Horde – A new map of Harran Stadium that’s playable in either single-player or co-op. You’ll fight countless hordes of the infected that not only grow stronger, but also increase in numbers. Eventually you’ll have to face-off against some psycho named Bozak.

Check out the Dying Light story trailer below and let us know how you feel about the paid dlc coming so quickly after the game’s release.

Dying Light will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 27, 2015.
