THE INTERVIEW To Screen at the Alamo Drafthouse and Plaza Atlanta

Although the five major theater chains decided to drop The Interview, and remain committed to not showing the film, other theaters are willing to screen the movie.  Specifically, the Plaza Atlanta and the Alamo Drafthouse have been authorized to show the picture on Christmas Day according to Variety. Additionally, The Wrap is reporting that some VOD outlets will get the movie, and that an official announcement is coming later today.

It’s possible that other theaters could be added to the list or that Sony could also add the movie to some VOD outlets, but nothing is official on that front yet.  We only know for sure that the Alamo Drafthouse and Plaza Atlanta are getting it.  We’ll update this story as we learn further details about Sony’s release plans, but this is very exciting, and I can’t wait to see how crazy and packed these showings are thanks to all the recent hype.
