The Crew Customization Trailer

The Crew

The Crew customization trailer gives racers a closer look at different vehicle specs and appearances. Players will want to customize their vehicles in order to get the most out each Game Mode.

We were treated to hands-on demos during E3 and PAX this year, but only managed to play three game modes. The first was a Free Roaming Mode, which allowed us to get the feel and handling of our vehicles. In Takedown Mode, four of us worked together to ram and wreck another vehicle fleeing the scene before a timer ran out. Finally, we ran a Race Mode, featuring eight drivers all gunning for the top spot. I happy to say I won each race at both E3 and PAX.

The game handles more like an arcade racer as opposed to an in-depth racing simulator. You’ll be faced with the challenges of commuter traffic, whilst whipping through crowded city streets. Also, you’re likely to encounter a fair share of pedestrians in the game, but I don’t think you can injure them. Each time I “accidentally” drove on the sidewalk, they managed to avoid getting hit by my vehicle. Lucky bastards.

The Crew is set to arrive December 2 on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Pre-order and receive a free upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes early unlocks for the BMW Z4, Dodge Ram SRT 10, Mini Cooper S and 10,000 bonus credits.
