Paramount has released the first clip from Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it’s a good one. It opens mid-chase with a Turtles beatbox session, then they run right into Shredder and after that, we finally hear one of our heroes shout an iconic Turtles catchphrase (although I really liked the second and final use of said catchphrase).  It’s a pretty good clip and should let you know instantly if this film is for you. I really enjoyed the film, and you can read my full review here.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrives in theaters on Friday, August 8th and also stars William Fichtner, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub.

Here’s the official synopsis for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brother rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
