So many people are going to die.
Telltale and Gearbox first dropped the bomb on us with an exciting reveal trailer for Tale from the Borderlands during last year’s VGX Awards. Things have been pretty quiet on Pandora since the big announcement in December, but that all changed over the weekend during a panel featuring guests from Gearbox and Telltale Games.
The game is set after the events of Borderlands 2, although, not a direct sequel, but rather a way to add canon, and feature familiar characters. The Handsome Jack look-alike is a character named, Rhys (pronounced Reese). Like Jack, Rhys works for Hyperion and is a company man through and through. Fiona, is a fast talking con-artist, which should make for some interesting dialogue choices.
No official release date has been announced, but look to return to Pandora sometime in 2014. Furthermore, Tales from the Borderlands will follow the standard episodic format we’ve come to expect from Telltale Games.
“Listen kiddos, trust Handsome Jack, you want every part of this insanity.”
