SUPER TROOPERS 2 may start filming this year

Original Super Trooper stars Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme have recently dropped hints and soundbites that the sequel to their break out film Super Troopers may finally come to fruition.   Heffernan, who played everyone’s favorite top-cop Farva was quoted as saying:

“We wrote the script and handed it in to Fox, and now we’re just negotiating the time and the place and hopefully shoot it some time this year. I have to start growing my mustache now.”

The original Super Troopers was directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (who also played Thorny) and centered around a misfit rag-tag group of Vermont state troopers.  It was originally released in 2001, and became an instant comedy classic.  If it’s been a while since you’ve seen the film, check out the trailer below.
