Super Smash Bros Demo

Nintendo announced today during their Treehouse Livestream that Club Nintendo Platinum members will be emailed codes to download the demo for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. However, said members must have opted to receive emails from Club Nintendo and must have achieved Platinum status between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014. Those of you that don’t meet this criteria can still download the demo a week later on September 19.

Players will get to choose from five playable characters (Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager, and Mega Man) and smash face on the Battlefield stage with their friends in local multiplayer matches. Both the eShop and Club Nintendo versions will require a Nintendo Network ID to download. It’s worth mentioning the Club Nintendo version features an unlimited play count, while the eShop version can only be opened from the Home Menu a maximum of 30 times.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will be available in stores and the Nintendo eShop on October 3.
