Starlink: Battle For Atlas, was another unique IP was announced during Ubisoft’s E3 2017 Press Conference. The whole game seeks to combine a standard space flight/exploration video game with interactive toy accessories sold in stores.

The closest equivalent one can think of are the vehicles in Skylanders or Lego Dimensions, but instead of having a separate pad or base to put the ships on, it will be mounted to the top of your controller.

Visually the game seems very similar to both No Man’s Sky and Elite: Dangerous, exploring planets and space all while battling enemies. It’s a lot smaller scale, with only the Atlas Star System of 7 planets and the distance between but you can explore within each planet in detail.

Each ship will have it’s own unique playstyle, and you can mix and match various pieces to create your own ship that suits you. Interchange pilots, hulls, wings, and weapons onto your toy ship, and the virtual ship in game will change as well.

Starlink: Battle For Atlas is slated for release in Fall 2018 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
