Shadow of Revan

EA and Bioware announced today Star Wars: The Old Republic Shadow of Revan will launch on December 9. Shadow of Revan is the third expansion for the free to play MMO, which originally launched back in December 2011. Many SWTOR fans have been awaiting the return of Revan since the release of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic over a decade ago. I guess now the question is do people care enough to go back to SWTOR? Probably not.

The saga continues with Revan leading an army to crush both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. If either faction hopes to stand a chance, they’ll have put aside their differences and work together. Unfortunately for you, that probably means more boring quests.

The Shadow of Revan Expansion will retail for $20 and increase the level cap to 60. Those of you that pre-order the game prior to November 2 will receive one week of Early Access, an exclusive Grand Statue of Revan to display in Player Strongholds, and the Rise of the Hutt Cartel Expansion. Subscribers will also receive 12x experience gain through class story missions up to level 55. This xp boost will expire on December 1.

Check out the announcement trailer and let us know if you’re one of the few people still playing Star Wars: The Old Republic. Only one of us here at Geek Legacy continued to play the game after the first month of its release.
