STAR WARS: EPISODE VII to Film 1-21-14; Aiming for a Christmas 2015 Release

J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars: Episode VII

Still no news on casting or story, but we now know the production start dates and the possible release timeframe for the most anticipated film in years, Star Wars: Episode VII. A little while ago producer Bryan Burk stated that they were aiming for a January 2014 start date. Now Latino Review is reporting that production will officially begin January 21,2014, the Day after the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Latino Review is also stating that the J.J. Abrams helmed sequel will aim for a Christmas 2015 release date instead of the original summer 2015 date. Nothing has been set at stone yet so these dates are subject to change, but Latino Review has been pretty accurate with their Marvel stories so presumably since Star Wars is now under the same corporate umbrella this could be a credible lead.

What do you think? Is this the film that you are most excited about in the near future? If not, what are you most looking forward to?
