Are you ready to head back to the final frontier? A new Star Trek TV series is coming by way of CBS All Access platform, and the network offered a new sneak peek at what’s coming. There weren’t any casting announcements made during the Upfront presentation. There weren’t any first look images at news aliens, or even some names of ships and destinations. Instead, CBS unveiled the show’s logo, which looks like a different take on ones we’ve seen before.

Variety’s senior TV editor Brian Steinberg posted a snapshot of the new logo to Twitter. According to TV Guide, a video montage zooming through planets promises a “new crews, new heroes, new villains, new worlds.” Details have been few and far between. But one report stated the project was going to be an anthology series, and this list of buzz words could support that assertion.

See the logo below along with a teaser video.

Elsewhere, we know that the Star Trek series will start filming this fall in Toronto with Hannibal and Pushing Daisies creator/showrunner Bryan Fuller serving as showrunner. Thankfully, that means we’ll have more details soon, since, well, Fuller will need a cast before production kicks off.

There was also a report stating the series would take place before Star Trek: The Next Generation (Patrick Stewart’s turn at the helm of the Enterprise). The network had also previously released this official logline:

STAR TREK, one of the most iconic and influential global television franchises, returns to television 50 years after it first premiered. The new series will feature new crews, new villains, new heroes and new worlds, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.

Hopefully, there will be more exciting content coming for CBS All Access, because right now it’s a drag that Trekkers have to pay $5.99 a month just to watch one show.
