Spotify Arrives on PlayStation Music Today

Posted on March 30, 2015 at 3:00 pm by Justin Cavender

Spotify is now available for streaming on your PS3 or PS4. First announced back in January, Spotify is the exclusive partner of PlayStation Music, boasting more than 30 million songs and a whopping 1.5 billion playlists. Additionally, PS4 users can provide their own unique soundtracks by rocking out to their favorite songs whilst playing video games. Users can control music on their console with their smartphone. Simply use the Spotify Connect feature in the Spotify app to select a playlist, skip songs, and adjust the volume as needed.

According to the PlayStation Blog:

PlayStation Network users can easily link their accounts to Spotify and use their account to subscribe to Spotify’s Premium service, which is available for $9.99 per month. If you want to check out Spotify’s Premium service first, we have the following offers in place:

  • Music Unlimited subscribers with accounts active as of March 29, 2015, can receive 2 months of free access to Spotify Premium
  • New and existing Spotify users who have not previously received a trial of Spotify Premium can receive one month free

Which songs will you be listening to while playing Bloodborne, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Advance Warfare, Dying Light, or The Evil Within? I’m thinking all 80’s all the time.
