Sneak Peek: Magneto #1

The theme for this round of new Marvel NOW titles is definitely “unexpected solo series.” Lots of characters that you wouldn’t anticipate getting their own books are doing just that, ranging from fan-favorites like Loki all the way to Black Widow. Along with those series comes the Master of Magnetism’s own new book, Magneto #1, which looks to bring Magneto back to the ways we all know and love.

“This is Magneto in all his narcissistic ‘if you want something done right, do it yourself’ glory,” explains series writer Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun). “In this story, he’s a detective, judge, jury, and executioner when it comes to threats against mutants. He’s taking a proactive role in finding threats—and potential threats—and putting a decisive end to them. He’s ruthless in his quest, fighting fire with fire, and evil—as he defines it—with evil.”

Take a look below at both the cover from Paolo Rivera, as well some examples of what we can expect from series artist Gabriel Hernandez Walta. If you’re as excited as I am for Magneto to strike off on his own again, make sure you add this to your pull list before it debuts this March!
