I couldn’t be happier that DC chose Batwoman as one of the books it’s previewing this week. After the controversial exit of the last creative team, many people have been boycotting this book ever since, and it’s a damn shame. While DC definitely didn’t handle the situation even remotely well, the new creative team of Marc Andreyko and Jeremy Haun had nothing to do with it, and what’s more, they’ve been quietly putting together a fantastic title.
With the introduction of the Wolf Spider they’ve added a great new villain to Kate’s rogues gallery. Even better, they haven’t shied away from Kate’s personal life either, which is what many feared would happen when the last team was removed. Batwoman is still a great read, and one of the books I look forward to most from DC each month.
If you’ve been angrily boycotting this title, come down off your soapbox and check out this preview for Batwoman #28. The new team is doing Kate justice, and if you don’t see anything here you like, I suspect your snark may be clouding your judgement.
