Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Earlier this week Amazon had listed the Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for Xbox One and PS4 prior to Square Enix making a formal announcement. Today a trailer was released informing us that we can expect the game to be renewed, remastered, and redeveloped with 24 DLC packs and 1080p resolution.

Players take on the role of Wei Shen, an undercover cop, tasked with taking down the Triads in Hong Kong. Things quickly go from better, to bad, to worse, when the rules of being a cop are thrown out the window.

If you haven’t had a chance to play Sleeping Dogs on PS3, Xbox 360, or PC, you might want to consider picking up the regular edition for around $13. Often times Steam will throw the game on sale for $5, and quite honestly, both prices are a steal.

Square Enix introduced us to Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition earlier this year, and I’m curious if there is a short list of titles to get a Definitive Edition. Hopefully, anything involving Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII won’t appear on said list.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 14.
