Satoru Iwata Retains Position as President of Nintendo

Satoru Iwata

Satoru Iwata will continue his role as President of Nintendo despite poor Wii U sales and a drop in his approval rating. We at Geek Legacy find this news comforting and agree with Nintendo shareholders that supporting Mr. Iwata through these less than stellar times is the right move.

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of getting our hands on several upcoming titles for the Wii U. Unfortunately, many of these titles including, Mario Maker, The Legend of Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Yoshi’s Woolly World won’t launch until 2015. Still, we have Hyrule Warriors and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to round out the year. Either way, we have lots to look forward to and we’re happy to see Iwata turns things around.
