Saga Receives Six Harvey Awards

Back in July, Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples’ Image Comic series Saga went home with three Eisner Awards in the catagories of Best Continuing Series, Best New Series and Best Writer. They were certainly well deserved wins considering the amount of critical praise that the series has received since its launch back in March of last year.

Based off the performance at the Eisner’s there was no doubt that at this past weekends Baltimore Comic Con, Saga would be leaving with a few trophies from the annual Harvey Awards which was held at the conference.

And boy did they win!

Not content with just three awards this time, Image and the Saga team ended up doubling their preformance from the Eisner’s and going home with SIX Harvey Awards!

Best Colorist – Fiona Staples

Best Artist – Fiona Staples

Best Writer – Brian K. Vaughan

Best Single Issue or Story – Saga #1

Best Continuing or Limited Series – Saga

Best New Series – Saga

It was an impressive and well deserved feat for everyone involved with the series. So now the question is, “Can they top themselves yet again?”
