Quantum Break Resurges On April 5th

Showcased today at Gamescom 2015, Remedy Entertainment revealed new gameplay and a deeper look at the story for Quantum Break. With the emphasis on time travel and manipulation, this third person action game becomes more than a “sum of it’s parts”. More importantly the story portion shown was delved deeper with the official casting of Shawn Ashmore (X-Men) as protagonist Jack Joyce, who is constantly in a cat and mouse game through time with Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) as antagonist Paul Serene.

A failed time travel experiment has gifted these characters with the ability to manipulate time indifferent ways: to stop it or to see into the future. But because of the experiment, time is also being affected outside of the character’s input. The environment is creating unpredictable threats by looping, pausing time at a whim.

Intwined with the game is the live-action series which is ultimately affected by the player’s choices in the game and will also be played by the actors in the game. Every segment you play will lead into an episode of the series and then back out into the next segment.

Quantum Break is slated for release on April 5th 2015 on Xbox One.
