PS Vita

Sony’s PlayStation Vita is on sale at Target and Best Buy this week for $200. Those of you interested in picking up this hand held beast should know the Vita is available in two versions. Both 3G/WiFi (launch bundle) and a WiFi models are currently being sold at the $200 price point. It’s worth noting the 3G version is powered by AT&T’s Mobile Broadband Network, but the launch bundle also comes with a 8GB memory card. Basically, even if you don’t use the 3G feature you can still score a free memory card.

There are rumors floating around that Sony will announce a price cut on the Vita later this week at Gamescom. Perhaps Sony found a way to cut costs on production and decided to pass the savings onto their customers. It’s no secret the Vita has serious power under the hood, but without a consumer demand does it really matter?

Are you ready to pony up $200 for a Vita? For the same price and sometimes for less you can get a Nintendo 3DS XL with a much larger game library. Keep in mind, the PS4 launch is just around the corner, and Sony wants to combine the two platforms in unique ways to enhance your gaming experience. Sounds like plenty of fun to be had by all.
