Another big announcement during todays’ Microsoft E3 2017 Press Briefing was the popular game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which will be making it’s console debut only on Xbox. Popularized on the PC with over 3 million copies and being derived from a Battle Royale-style mod on Arma III, the game began development in 2016 and has been in Early Access since March.

A very popular game to stream, the whole concept essentially boils down to 100 players being thrown on an 8×8 km island and forced to gather resources and items and fend for themselves, gradually having their playable area reduced until one is left standing.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be available to play on Xbox One as a console version exclusive late 2017, and later on on the Xbox One X in 2018.
