PHINEAS AND FERB Will Air A LOST-Themed Episode; Terry O’Quinn To Voice A Polar Bear

We learned a few days ago that the Disney XD original series Phineas and Ferb will be resurrecting Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s characters from Shaun of the Dead for a special Halloween episode, and now news comes that a Lost-themed episode will debut next month.  Titled “Lost in Danville”, the episode features a story by Lost co-creator/showrunner Damon Lindelof and a voice performance by John Locke himself Terry O’Quinn as, fittingly, a polar bear.  The story involves a mysterious locked capsule falling into Phineas and Ferb’s backyard, which may or may not contain said polar bear.  As the father of two small boys Phineas and Ferb is a show that kids and parents can enjoy, and with the one-two punch of the Shaun of the Dead and Lost news it is sure to garner some new big-kid fans.

The first Phineas and Ferb Lost episode airs on Disney XD on Monday, September 29th at 7:30pm ET/PT.

Here’s the synopsis for “Lost in Danville”:

A mysterious locked capsule falls into Phineas and Ferb’s back yard and they struggle to open it, only to discover they have unleashed something they cannot control. Meanwhile, Perry learns that Dr. Doofenshmirtz has been abducted and tracks him to Seattle where another evil scientist, Professor Mystery, has his own sinister plan. Terry O’Quinn voices Professor Mystery, with Jane Kaczmarek and Rob Morrow as capsule inhabitants Denise and Bernie.
