Microsoft dropped a bomb on fans today during the company’s E3 press conference where Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced original Xbox games will be added to the Backwards Compatibility Program later this year.

Backwards Compatibility was first announced at E3 two years ago with the Xbox One supporting Xbox 360 games. The program has since expanded to over 300 titles available to play on the all-in-one entertainment system and with this exciting announcement, gamers can only hope their favorite classic titles make the cut sooner rather than later. While Phil Spencer didn’t go into specifics, he did announce Crimson Skies was definitely added to the list. Additionally, Phil Spencer mentioned all titles should see a performance boost.

Microsoft may not have shown the most amazing games today, but they did pack quite a wallop with the reveal of their upcoming console, the Xbox One X, and the exciting news of the ever growing list of backwards compatible games across multiple generations of consoles.

Which games from the original Xbox would you like to see added to the list?
