Yay, it’s Friday and summer movies are already here. The question is, what are you going to see this weekend? Well, it’s our job to help you figure that out. Below you will find a list of films that hit theaters today. So tell your friends and/or significant other, that you’re off to the theater! Of course, you will have more fun if they go with you.

After Earth (PG-13)

After EarthA crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.


Now You See Me (PG-13)

Now you see meNow You See Me pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against “The Four Horsemen”, a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists. “The Four Horsemen” pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.



The East (PG-13)

Starring: Brit Marling, Alexander Skarsgård, Ellen Page, Toby Kebbell, Shiloh Fernandez

The EastSarah (Brit Marling), an undercover agent at a private intelligence firm, is hired to infiltrate the East, an ecoterrorism cell targetaing companies that pollute the environment. Though one of the group’s more hardcore members (Ellen Page) is suspicious of her, Sarah manages to win over Benji (Alexander Skarsgård), the East’s leader. However, even as Sarah tries to maintain her cover, she becomes more sympathetic to the group’s cause while increasingly drawn to Benji.


The Kings of Summer (R)
