Nintendo NX

Last night Nintendo finally confirmed their upcoming console, code-named NX, will launch globally in March 2017. This news comes by way of Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima during the company’s earning announcement for its fiscal year, which ended March 31.

“As we report the results of the last fiscal year, we also look forward to an exciting period ahead with further growth in our mobile business, new products for our dedicated video game systems and continued progress in our efforts to increase the number of consumers experiencing our IP through games, licensing and expanded entertainment,” said Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima.

Unfortunately, the Nintendo NX will not make an appearance at this year’s upcoming E3 trade show in Los Angeles in June. Instead, the company plans to unveil the console later this year. Buzzkill.

Those of you that listen to the Pixelated Podcast know that both Stephen and I are very passionate about Nintendo and almost never agree with how they run their company. Perhaps we’ll eat our words in March, but for now all we can do is point, click, and laugh on our Miitomo App.
