The Ninjabot

NINJA TURTLE creator displeased with Megan Fox’s involvement in TURTLE’s feature film.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ co-creators Peter Laird or Kevin Eastman have never been shy about sharing their feelings about projects based on their creations. Most recently, Laird shared his thoughts on Megan Fox joining the Michael Bay adaptation as Intrepid reporter April O’Neil.

Here’s what Laird had to say on his blog;

“My only exposure to Megan Fox as an actress is through her role in two Transformers movies and the wretched (but happily forgettable) Jennifer’s Body. It may not be fair to judge her range of acting skills just from those three movies, but I think it is safe to say that there are probably hundreds of better choices for the role of April O’Neil. Of course, her name has promotional value, and maybe that’s what they want. Who knows? I can’t get myself too worked up about it.”

Only time will tell if Bay and Co. will actually get this film off the ground, but I’m hoping it happens. What do you think?

      I do not want to see this film as Teenage Alien Ninja Turtle-like creatures. Stick to the source material damn it. Megan Fox is a sexy lady but not a great actress. I rather have porn star April O'Neil as her name sake than Ms. Fox.

      Does it really matter if they're aliens? They're talking 6 foot turtles who know Kung fu. I think we can suspend disbelief. Plus the original source is almost unrecognizable from what we've seen and loved so far.

      K take away the alien aspect.

      But Megan Fox? That is not a good choice. Jennifer Lawrence would be my choice.

    • Disaster suspends over this entire production the way this is going…

      She's a fine young woman, and I'd watch her in anything.

      But the problem is… I done locked her in my basement, so maybe she WON'T be in TMNT after all…
