Nicolas Cage confirmed for EXPENDABLES 3, still eyeing Harrison Ford and Wesley Snipes

Sylvester Stallone confirmed today that Nicolas Cage will appear in the third installment of The Expendables.  You’ll remember that in August we reported Stallone’s wish list for the sequel.   Based on Stallone’s comments it looks like he is still optimistic about landing Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, or Mickey Rourke.  Shortly after the wish list was released Chuck Norris stated that part 2 would be his only endeavor into the franchise.

Stallone’s statement;

“We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two. We have confirmed Nicolas Cage, a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group. Hopefully we can realize to Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke. That is the great mission of the producer. We will continue with the same narrative scheme, the agility and the frenzy, which are inherent to the saga.”

I still don’t see Harrison Ford coming on board, but I don’t see any road blocks to getting one of the other actors on his wish list.  What do you think?

    • The Expendables films are always fun to watch. Nicolas Cage is a bit of a weird duck but what can you do? I wonder if his "don't look Mr. Cage in the eye" rule applies to Terry Crews? That guy is a bad ass and I'll watch any movie he's in, even White Chicks.

      I think you meant to say ESPECIALLY White Chicks.
