20th Century Fox has released a new Gone Girl TV spot.  Directed by David Fincher, the adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel of the same name stars Ben Affleck as a man who becomes the lead suspect when his wife (Rosamund Pike) disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary. This new TV Spot focusses on the tribulations of Ben Affleck‘s character. Fincher and Affleck seem to be firing on all cylinders and this is one of my most anticipated films of the fall movie going season.

Hit the jump to take a look at the new Gone Girl TV Spot.  The film also stars Rosamund Pike, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Scoot McNairy, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson, Emily Ratajkowski, and Neil Patrick Harris.  Gone Girl will premiere at this year’s New York Film Festival, and will open nationwide on October 3rd.

Here’s the official synopsis for Gone Girl:

GONE GIRL – directed by David Fincher and based upon the global bestseller by Gillian Flynn – unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
