New trailer for MAN OF STEEL

Not to be outdone by Paramount’s trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness, Warner Bros. has just released a new trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.   It clocks in at a beefy 3 minutes, and is chalk full of Superman goodness.  We see a lot of new footage in this trailer; including some great footage of Krypton, a father/son chat with Pa Kent, and some Kryptonian on Kryptonian action with Henry Cavill’s Superman going toe to toe with Michael Shannon’s General Zod.  If you weren’t pumped for this film already, this should easily put you over the top.

The film also stars Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, and Russell Crowe. Man of Steel opens in 3D on June 14th.

Official synopsis for Man of Steel:

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Was behind Iron Man 3 and Star Trek for my most anticipated films of the year. Now it's not even close… MAN OF STEEL!!!!

Maybe I've been wrong about Mr. Snyder.

    • Never been a Superman fan, but whoever cutting these trailers deserves an award. I haven't been this pumped for a movie in ages!
