Mad Max: Fury Road

Today Warner Bros. released a new Mad Max: Fury Road trailer filled with high-speed car chases, crazy stunts, and a whole lot of nutjobs. The fantastical post-apocalyptic world is short on both water and gasoline, but features an abundance of explosions and crazy folk. Having lived in the desert for nearly 15 years, I can attest this movie is 100% accurate and more than likely shot in real-time in my hometown.

Tom Hardy stars as Max, a drifter that wanders the world after losing his wife and child. Eventually, he meets up with a woman named Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron, who even with a buzzed-head still looks gorgeous. The two find themselves on the run from the evil Warlord, Immortan Joe, played by Hugh Keays-Byrne. Are these two cut out for a life on the road? I didn’t notice too many truck stops along their journey, but from the look of the trailer, we’ll get plenty of the high-octane action these movies are best known for.

Mad Max: Fury Road is directed by George Miller and stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, and Nathan Jones. The film is scheduled to release in 2D and 3D on May 15, 2015.
