New JURASSIC WORLD Image Is A Nice Throwback to JURASSIC PARK and Dennis Nedry

Colin Trevorrow may have wrapped Jurassic World at the beginning of August, but that’s not stopping him from sharing more images from set, and this latest one is a fun throwback to the original film.  Remember when Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) tries to ditch Jurassic Park before all hell breaks loose and accidently knocks down the sign pointing to the East Dock in the process?  It looks as though that same sign made it into the fourth installment.

It’s obvious why Trevorrow would choose to post this one at the start of the fall season, but there’s also no way he’d share it if there weren’t meaning to it.  Jurassic World takes place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park and by the looks of it, that sign was likely laying there for every single one of them.  Does that mean there could be other leftover elements from the original park?  I certainly hope so. I’d like to think this could hint that Nedry’s actions have repercussions, possibly involving a certain lost Barbasol can.

The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, and Omar Sy, and will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
