The first trailer for Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For recently debuted to a lukewarm reception. Seeing as it’s been nearly a decade since the original film, many were expecting an evolution from the first film’s ground-breaking aesthetics. While the sequel looks every bit as atmospheric as the first film, those criticisms are certainly well-founded. We’ve got three new images from the picture to share with you today, and while they probably won’t change your mind about the film one way or the other, they’re certainly stylized in a familiar fashion.
Starring Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach, and Julia Garner, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens on August 22nd.
