Disney has unveiled some new character images from its upcoming animated film Frozen.  The film features Kristen Bell as the voice of a young dreamer named Anna who teams up with Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), an extreme mountain man, to find her sister Elsa, the Queen of Arrendelle (Idina Menzel) who has accidentally trapped their kingdom in eternal winter.  Anna and Kristoff are joined on their journey by Kristoff’s trusty reindeer Sven, and a talking snowman/comic-relief, Olaf (Josh Gad).  All of the aforementioned characters are highlighted in these new images, along with the second love interest Prince Hans (Santino Fontana), the cowardly Duke of Weselton (Alan Tudyk), the operator of the trading post Oaken (Chris Williams), and a great-looking monstrous creature named Marshmallow.  The film has a great look, and I am looking forward to seeing the pretty pictures in motion.  Frozen opens in 3D on November 27th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Frozen:

When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, an amazing and comedic snowman named Olaf, Everest-like conditions and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
