With all the Batman V Superman and Star Wars news filling my news feed, I keep forgetting that there is a Hunger Games and Hobbit movie still coming this year. I was delighted by Catching Fire, and while I loathe the novel Mockingjay, I am really looking forward to Mockingjay – Part 1. A peek into what’s in store has surfaced today by way of a new collection of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 posters that introduce the leaders of the rebellion.  There’s Liam Hemsworth’s Gale, of course, but I’m really excited to see Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer’s portrayal of Cressida; Dormer’s look for the character is positively fantastic.  And yes, that’s Elden Henson aka Fulton from The Mighty Ducks as Pollux.

The film also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, and Donald Sutherland.  The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 opens in theaters on November 21st.

The posters were revealed on the Hunger Games viral site (via Wired).

The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
