Marvel’s August Solicitations Are More Hungry, Less Red

Posted on May 17, 2013 at 7:07 am by Tyler Waterman

Remember when Marvel unveiled this “classified” teaser? With Marvel’s August solicitations now out, it’s significantly less classified. What was once listed as Age of Ultron #10U.C. is now officially Hunger, a four-issue miniseries from Joshua Hale Fialkov and Leonard Kirk.

According to the solicitation, “the fallout from Age of Ultron rips open a dangerous rift in the universe,” we should “prepare for a hunger so strong that no universe is safe,” and we should be asking “is this the beginning of the end?”

Sounds like a good time, but also sounds like my “hungry hungry Hawkeye” theory probably isn’t sound. Either way, we get to find out when Hunger #1 hits shelves in July. (Yes, July; the August solicitations revealed the details, but the first teaser was for a July release.)

Also of note from the August solicitations is what isn’t there, namely Jeff Parker’s Red She-Hulk. Despite lots of critical success, the sales numbers apparently just weren’t there, and July’s Red She-Hulk #67 will be the final issue.
