Marvel Reveals New “She-Hulk” Ongoing Series

Posted on October 1, 2013 at 5:13 am by Tyler Waterman

She-Hulk (the green one, not the red one) is easily one of Marvel’s most recognizable and fantastic female leads. Jennifer Walters is the epitome of a great female comic character, with the strength to rival any villain (or hero), and the brains to outsmart them at the same time. The only problem? Unless you’re reading FF, you barely get to see her!

Fortunately, that’s about to change. This February, Charles Soule and Javier Pulido bring us She-Hulk, a monthly ongoing series bringing us the very best of Jennifer Walters. Along with the face-punching, building-smashing mayhem we expect from a book with “Hulk” in the title, She-Hulk promises to focus just as strongly on one of the most interesting aspects of Jen’s life; her day job. As Matt Murdock has proven time and time again, superheroes that also happen to be lawyers tend to be just as fascinating in their suits as they are in their costumes. Even better, writer Charles Soule just happens to be a lawyer as well. This promises that Jen’s real life will feel authentic, and also means we should be asking whether Soule is Daredevil… but that’s a question for another day. (I’m on to you, Soule!)

Over the past year, Marvel has done a fantastic job of giving their leading ladies the spotlight in a way that reminds you that they deserve to have it. Starting this February, it looks like they’re about to do it again… add it to your pull list now, you aren’t going to want to miss this book!
