Marvel Knights: X-Men Asks Whodunnit

The Marvel Knights brand is coming back in a big way. The imprint, designed to tell brutal and more “adult” stories featuring our favorite Marvel characters, has already made it clear it’s going to make Spider-Man’s life a living hell, but he’s not the only one. In Marvel Knights: X-Men, written and drawn by Brahm Revel (Guerrillas), three of the most popular X-Men characters find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery, and it’s unlikely this will end well for anyone involved.

When two new mutants appear in a backwoods town, and then appear to become the target of a murderer hunting exactly that, Wolverine, Kitty Pryde and Rogue head in to investigate. However, as with most murder mysteries, nothing is what it seems. What’s worse, mutants aren’t exactly terribly popular right now (or, well, ever), and the three find themselves exceptionally unwelcome, despite their trying to save lives.

Marvel Knights: X-Men looks to be a very different approach to these characters, especially right now, where all things related to “X” tend to be massive, widespread stories. Check out the cover below, and get ready for a darker, grittier take on the X-Men this November.
